Andrew Davenport

My name is Andrew Davenport, I am the Managing Director of Focus Technology Europe Ltd. I love a challenge and revel in the ever changing face of technology and seeing just how far the boundaries can be pushed.

I am an analytical, logical thinker, to me there is no such thing as a problem, only a solution that is yet to be discovered. My mind allows me to work my way through technical problems and challenges which to some has earned me the title of “Mr Fixit”. There are technology companies I have worked with who call me in when the proverbial fan is spinning at maximum speed!

I have spent many years working in IT at all levels and my skill set and problem solving skills transcend the technology alone. I am constantly seeking new or improved ways of doing things within my own business and for the customers who benefit from the collective skills of the team I have established here at Focus.

I pride myself on my interpersonal skills and ability to understand my customers’ needs in both the short and long term, which enables me to guide and advise on the right technology. I am able to talk to customers on a level they understand which builds a relationship founded on trust and good advice.

For me the biggest challenge is to maintain the reputation and exceptional level of service that Focus is renowned for whilst still learning and moving forwards.

Throughout my career I have worked in the central government head offices, for major companies and planned, project managed and installed a £250,000 non-stop data centre for a large client in Hampshire.

In my downtime I love to socialise and relax with friends and family and of a weekend can quite often be founding entertaining at my home. I like to get out into the great outdoors and explore the beautiful scenery and rich history that Cornwall has to offer whether on foot or on my motorbike.
