Job Title: Technical Support Engineer (Junior/1st/2nd Line)

Salary: National minimum wage or £23,000 – £30,000 dependant on experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday + Overtime
Holiday: 28 days per annum including bank holidays

Job role

The role involves working as part of a dynamic and responsive team within a growing and proactive business supporting a diverse range of clients in the Southwest and beyond.
Working within the team you will be responsible for responding to First Line tickets from customers and to reach the higher potential earning band 2nd line tickets escalated from the 1st line team. You will deal with everyday systems support and expand to develop and deliver solutions for a wide range of exciting projects including the installation, migration and maintenance of critical business systems.
The role is fast paced, diverse, exciting and solution driven, and you will use a variety of services and systems to deliver the highest standards of customer service and supplier communications.


Our ideal candidate

Ideally you will have a proven track record working within the IT sector and ideally hold qualification such as MCP, MCSE, DCNA or similar. You will be familiar with supporting MS Office &365. You will have experience or knowledge of the following equipment & systems, data cabling & fibre, VOIP telephony systems, Audio Visual/CCTV systems, &Active Directory. You will be keen to develop your skills further and complete additional certifications.
You will need to be able to work as part of a team and under your own initiative. You will need to be able to communicate well and be able to take ownership for your work from start to completion.
You will have excellent client management skills & the ability to identify opportunities for improvement.

The MOST important attribute you can bring to FOCUS is a positive ‘Can Do’ attitude to work, and be keen to undertake training to further your skills. We can train you on our systems, and financially support your attainment of industry qualifications easily; so if you don’t have all the qualifications BUT you have the drive to achieve and the right attitude, then we want to meet you as part of our apprentice/junior staff development program.

  • Full, clean, driving license
